On February 18, APS students participated in a student-led walkout to bring awareness to the harmful actions committed by ICE throughout the United States. Student leaders Charlie Machell (HB Woodlawn), Finn Patchen (ACC), Lary Renderos (ACC), and Auden Harvey (Wakefield) made posters and led speeches at each walkout at every high school and some middle schools across Arlington. Thousands of students showed up in support, made tons of signs, and joined in with chants.
It was a time when students all came together and talked about the one subject that nobody wants to talk about. But students ACC are proud that they spoke out as a community and protested together. Participants hope that you continue to speak out against injustice, wherever you see it.
