Deck the Halls With Lots of Trinkets

On Monday during all three lunches and for an hour after school, ACC held its annual Winter Bazaar. The Bazaar is a chance for clubs to gather and let their creative sides shine as they sell homemade treats and trinkets to raise funds for their clubs. Though treats weren’t allowed to be sold during lunch periods, clubs that wanted to sell cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and other treats were able to sell them during lunch and give them out after school ended. Students could also buy trinkets to keep, such as earrings from the Robotics Club, cards from the Boys Cohort and PEP, and paper trees from our very own ACC Chronicle.

Mr. Johnson organized this year’s event, helping the ACC to reach a huge milestone as all five programs: PEP, the Academy, ELI, Teen Parenting, and Arlington Tech. A record total of twenty-seven clubs and classes filled the Commons.

The Winter Bazaar, while allowing students to share their creativity through the hallways, can also be a way for students to recruit members to their clubs. If you spoke with someone at a club you’re interested in, ask them if they’re open to new members—most clubs are! One of the best things about the Career Center is that we have all sorts of unique CTE classes to try new things, but we also have several unique clubs that allow students to try new experiences.

Happy holidays, ACC!
