One big feature that sets Arlington Tech apart from the other high schools is our PBL and DE classes. DE or Dual Enrollment classes are college-level classes that you can take in high school. By partnering with NOVA, a community college, students can earn a college degree along with their high school diploma. This year, 19 seniors from Arlington Tech earned a NOVA degree, giving them 2 years worth of college credits.
First, on May 8, an ACC reception celebrated the seniors who received a degree. These seniors were given their medallions and cap and gown that were to be worn at the NOVA graduation.
The NOVA Commencement was on May 12, at George Mason Campus. With around 18,000 graduates, the arena was packed full in a sea of green, and included many of our amazing students from ACC.
