Love is in the air and so is the school spirit at ACC. During lunch on February 14, Valentine’s Day, ACC’s clubs were selling their handmade crafts and yummy treats at the Valentine’s Day Bazaar. The PEP Program, baking club, Latinas Leading Tomorrow club, and more were out in the commons selling their baked goods, jewelry, candy grams, and so much more. We hope you stopped by to support our clubs for their hard work and devotion!
The D&D Club used ACC’s very own 3D printers to make miniature items from Dungeons and Dragons. After all, ACC is known for its creativity, technological abilities, and 3D Printers. The D&D Club thought outside of the box and used their creativity and computer skills to make miniature models of Dungeons and Dragons dice. As we sat in the Commons, we saw many people walk by with pink cupcakes, beaded bracelets, and chocolate. The PEP program was selling bead bracelets, pendant necklaces, and a lot more handmade jewelry. There was a huge variety of bracelets and necklaces, and every single piece of jewelry was made with a lot of love, time, and effort.
Kindness Club was selling chocolate lollipops for one dollar, with all the money going to a local charity, the Kindness Activist. The chocolate lollipops were only one dollar and looked delicious. Another big seller was the Latinas Leading Tomorrow club, who were selling gorgeous bouquets for 10 dollars. They also had a box full of candy priced at just two dollars each. The bouquets were made with red roses and very romantic. The Girls in Stem Cohort were selling chocolate chip cookies, red velvet cupcakes, and chocolate bars. Everything was homemade and it was selling out fast.
It was great to see our peers and teachers creating and crafting to uplift our school and community. We hope to see more bazaars this popular and continue to grow our percentage of students in clubs.
