The 2024 NFL season has so far been one full of surprises, especially in QB production. Without further ado, here are my top 10 QBs of the season up to Week 10.
- Lamar Jackson
Although his performance the last two weeks has not exactly measured up to Joe Burrow’s, he still performed at a consistently MVP level, putting out 290 Passing Yards and 4 Passing TDs in a close win against the Bengals, and although his game in Week 11 against the Steelers was disappointing, his overall game is still gonna keep him up at #1.
- Joe Burrow
Joe-Vember has officially come into full swing with a standout performance in Week 9. With 251 passing yards and 5 Passing Touchdowns and one rare interception in a blowout win against the Raiders, he is the first QB since 2021 with two games of five or more Passing TDs. In Week 10 against the Ravens, he performed well, with a stunning 428 Passing Yards, 6 Rushing Yards, and 4 Passing Touchdowns in a close loss to the Ravens. It happened again in a Week 11 performance against a top 10 Chargers Defence with 356 Passing yards, 3 passing TDs, and 28 rushing yards. All of this places him just behind Jackson in the MVP race, and right on the heels of number #1.
- Josh Allen
Although his all-around production this season has been solid, his Week 10 performance of 280 Passing Yards, 0 Passing TD, 50 Rushing Yards, 1 Rushing TD, and an unfortunate 2 Interceptions and a close win against the chiefs with 262 Passing Yards, 1 passing TD, 1 Rushing TD keeps him steadily ahead in 3rd.
- Jaylen Hurts
Although his production in Week 10 was his best all year, he still didn’t quite measure up to those above him in a few categories including passing touchdowns, of which he only had 2, along with one interception, of which he’s had 5 this season, and an impressive second half comeback against the Commanders. All of these factors keep him at #4.
- Jaden Daniels
Although C.J. Stroud set a high bar for next year’s rookies, Jaden Daniels of the Washington Commanders may have set it even higher with an average of 208.9 passing yards and 3.4 TDs per game. Although with a disappointing interception-riddled game against the Eagles, that’s not enough to break top 3, it’s very impressive for a rookie and given a few years he’ll probably be right up there. For now, though he’s #5
- Baker Mayfield
Even with inconsistent production, he’s still top ten, although with a narrowing amount of weapons in the passing side of things, we will just have to wait and see. Can he bounce back from a disappointing passing performance in Week 10? With only 116 Passing Yards and 1 Passing TD, he will hopefully come back from the BYE week with guns blazing.
- Jared Goff
Although he has put up several perfect games this season, he also put up 5 interceptions against the Texans. Better yet, the Lions still won, which is almost kind of impressive. Over 400 yards against the Jaguars is not bad at all, but also not top 5 material.
- Brock Purdy
Brock Purdy is an interesting evaluation as he has been relatively inconsistent. In Week 11, he only had 159 passing yards, 40 rushing yards, 1 rushing and 1 passing TD, and an interception. This isn’t terrible but still puts him on the lower end of the spectrum as far as top 10 QBs go.
- Sam Darnold
Although he threw 3 interceptions in Week 10 and still won, he threw 0 in Week 11 along with 246 passing yards for 2 passing touchdowns, keeping him in the top 10.
- Jordan Love
Although Jordan was uncharacteristically disappointing in Weeks 8 and 9 where he averaged a measly 234.5 passing yards and 0 passing TDs, he picked himself up after the BYE week with 261 passing and 18 rushing yards, resulting in 1 passing and 1 rushing TD.
